social skills class
ITES's Social Skills class focuses on social-emotional learning (SEL). This course helps students to better understand their emotions and the emotions of others. It also teaches them strategies to help them self-regulate their emotions and express how they are feeling. Here they learn about mindsets and positive thinking. In addition, Social Skills provides students with the opportunity to show compassion toward others, problem solve and build positive relations with their peers. ITES's Social Skills class aligns with CASEL's Framework, Ohio's Social Emotional Standards and Canal Winchester's Portrait of a Graduate.
